Possible Causes
Magnetic sensor blocked or misaligned, Strong external magnets interfering, Hall sensor failure, Wiring fault to sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from any strong magnetic sources.
- 1. Remove external magnets: Keep the robot away from speakers, large magnets, or other strong magnetic fields.
- 2. Clean underside: Wipe the underside of the robot, especially near the front, where the magnetic or Hall sensors are typically located.
- 3. Test boundary detection: Place a compatible magnetic boundary strip on the floor and run the robot toward it. Observe whether it stops or crosses the strip.
- 4. If E18 persists: The Hall effect sensor module or associated circuitry may be defective. Replacement requires opening the chassis and swapping the sensor board.
