Possible Causes

Left or right wheel jammed with hair or debris, Wheel height adjustment mechanism stuck, Drive motor failure, Wheel encoder sensor fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Power OFF the robot and remove it from the dock.

  • 1. Inspect wheels: Turn the robot over and spin each drive wheel by hand. They should rotate smoothly and spring up and down freely.
  • 2. Remove debris: Look around the wheel wells for hair, threads, or small objects. Use tweezers or a small brush to clear them.
  • 3. Check wheel suspension: Press each wheel up into the body and release. It should move freely. If stuck, gently work it up and down while cleaning around the pivot points.
  • 4. Test movement: Power ON the robot on a flat surface and start cleaning. Observe whether one wheel fails to turn or stutters.
  • 5. If one wheel is dead: The corresponding drive wheel motor module or its encoder may be faulty. Replacement usually involves removing the bottom cover, unscrewing the wheel module, and disconnecting its cable from the main PCB.
  • 6. If both wheels fail: The issue may be with the main control board or power distribution. Professional diagnosis is recommended.
