Possible Causes
Worn drive wheels, Weak wheel motors, Low ground clearance due to debris, Loose floor coverings or cables
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before freeing it from obstructions.
- 1. Prepare the environment: Remove loose cables, small rugs, and high-threshold obstacles from the cleaning area where possible.
- 2. Inspect drive wheels: Check the rubber treads for wear or damage. Replace the drive wheel modules if the treads are smooth or cracked.
- 3. Clean wheel wells: Remove debris from around the wheels and suspension to restore full movement.
- 4. Adjust placement of rugs: Secure rug edges with tape or move them to reduce curling that can trap the robot.
- 5. If the robot still lacks climbing ability: The wheel motors may be weakening and the wheel modules may need replacement.
