Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully inserted, Dust bin presence switch stuck or dirty, Magnet or sensor tab on bin broken, Faulty bin detection microswitch or Hall sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot before removing or inserting the dust bin.
- Remove and reseat bin: Pull out the dust bin completely, check for debris on the bin rails, then slide it back in firmly until it clicks.
- Inspect sensor tab: Look for a small plastic tab or magnet on the bin that engages the sensor. Ensure it is not broken or missing.
- Clean sensor area: Use a dry cloth or compressed air to clean around the bin sensor slot or switch inside the robot.
- Test without debris: With the bin empty and properly seated, power on the robot and attempt to start a cleaning cycle.
- If E10 remains: The bin presence switch or Hall sensor may be defective. Replacement of the dust bin sensor switch assembly is required.
