Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around battery compartment, Battery pack overheating due to age or internal fault, Faulty battery temperature sensor, Charging in very hot environment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot immediately and remove it from the charging base. Allow it to cool in a well-ventilated area away from flammable materials.
- Inspect vents: Check and clean any ventilation slots around the battery compartment.
- Check environment: Ensure the robot and dock are not placed near heaters, in direct sunlight, or in very hot rooms.
- After cooling, test briefly: Once cool to the touch, power on the robot and run a short test. Monitor for heat buildup.
- If E13 recurs or battery feels hot quickly: Discontinue use. Replace the battery pack. If a new battery does not resolve the issue, the thermal sensor circuit on the main board may be faulty and requires professional service.
