Possible Causes
Main brush too low or jammed, Thick carpet causing excessive load, Drive wheel motors drawing too much current, Faulty current sensing circuit on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock.
- Inspect brush and wheels: Check the main brush and drive wheels for jams or heavy buildup of hair and debris. Clean thoroughly.
- Test on hard floor: Run the robot on a smooth, hard surface to see if E15 appears. If it only occurs on thick carpet, reduce use on that surface.
- Check for dragging parts: Ensure the bottom plate is not warped and that no screws are protruding and scraping the floor.
- If E15 occurs even on hard floors: One of the motors may be failing and drawing excessive current. Identify the noisy or stiff component and replace the corresponding motor module (main brush motor, drive wheel module, or suction motor).
