Possible Causes
Debris jammed in left or right drive wheel, Damaged or worn drive wheel gearbox, Faulty drive wheel motor, Obstruction in wheel well preventing suspension movement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power off the robot and remove it from the dock. Work on a clean, flat surface.
- Inspect drive wheels: Check both left and right wheels for wrapped hair, string, or carpet fibers. Rotate each wheel by hand; they should spring up and down and spin freely.
- Clean wheel wells: Use tweezers or a small brush to remove debris from around the wheel axles and inside the wheel wells.
- Check wheel suspension: Press each wheel up and release; it should move smoothly. If it sticks, inspect for lodged debris or bent plastic.
- Test movement: Power the robot back on and start a short cleaning cycle on a hard floor to see if the error clears.
- If E2 returns: The affected drive wheel motor or gearbox may be failing. Replace the left or right drive wheel module as a complete assembly. This usually requires removing the bottom cover and disconnecting a wiring harness.
