Possible Causes

Blocked air path in dust bin or filter, Dirty or clogged HEPA filter, Main suction motor overheating, Operating in very high ambient temperature

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock. Allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before further inspection.

  • Empty dust bin: Remove the dust bin and empty all debris. Check for clumps of dust blocking the inlet or outlet.
  • Clean or replace filter: Remove the pre-filter and HEPA filter from the bin. Tap gently to remove dust, or rinse washable filters with water if the manual allows. Let washable filters dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  • Inspect air passages: Look into the suction inlet and exhaust vents for obstructions and clear them.
  • Check environment: Avoid using the robot in very hot rooms or direct sunlight for extended periods.
  • Test again: After cooling and cleaning, run a short cleaning cycle and monitor for E8.
  • If E8 recurs quickly: The suction motor may be failing or the internal thermal sensor may be faulty. Replacement of the suction motor assembly is recommended.
