Possible Causes
Dirty or oxidized charging contacts, Weak power adapter, Failing battery pack, Faulty charging circuit on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the dock before cleaning contacts.
- Clean contacts: Use a dry cloth or pencil eraser to clean the metal contacts on both robot and dock.
- Verify adapter: Ensure the original Bissell power adapter is used and firmly plugged into the dock and wall outlet.
- Monitor charging: After cleaning, dock the robot and check if the charging indicator behaves normally and if the battery level rises over 1–2 hours.
- If charging remains poor: Replace the battery pack. If a new battery does not charge, the charging base or main control board may be defective.
