Possible Causes
Suction motor overheating due to blockage, Hair wrapped around brush causing friction, Failing motor windings, Electrical short on main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately turn off the robot and remove it from the dock. Unplug the dock from the wall. Do not continue using the robot until inspected.
- Inspect for blockages: Check the dust bin, filters, and suction path for clogs and clear them.
- Check main brush: Remove hair and debris from the brush and end caps to reduce friction.
- Smell components: Carefully smell near the suction motor outlet and main brush area (without touching internal parts). A strong electrical or burnt plastic smell indicates component failure.
- If smell persists after cleaning: Do not use the robot. Replace the suction motor assembly or have a technician inspect the main control board for damage.
