Possible Causes
Debris in main brush bearings, Worn main brush end caps, Failing suction motor bearings, Damaged drive wheel gearbox
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and flip it over on a soft surface.
- Isolate noise source: Run the robot briefly upside down while holding it securely (keep fingers away from moving parts) to identify whether noise comes from brush, wheels, or suction.
- Service main brush: Remove the brush and end caps. Clean hair and debris from bearings. Replace the main brush if the shaft or caps are worn.
- Check wheels: Spin each drive wheel by hand. Grinding or clicking indicates gearbox wear; replace the affected drive wheel module.
- Listen to suction motor: If noise persists with brush removed, the suction motor bearings may be failing. Replace the suction motor/fan module.
