Possible Causes
Depleted lithium-ion battery pack, Faulty battery protection PCB, Damaged DC charging input jack, Internal power harness loose at main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF with the main power switch (if present) and remove it from the charging dock. Do not open the battery compartment if the pack is swollen, hot, or leaking—contact a professional.
Step-by-step:
- 1. Hard reboot: Turn the main power switch off (or hold the power button for 10–15 seconds) to fully shut down the robot. Wait 60 seconds, then power it back on and check if E01 clears.
- 2. Verify dock power: Confirm the Electrolux charging dock is plugged into a live outlet. Check that the dock’s LED is lit. Try another outlet and avoid power strips with switches or surge protectors that may be off.
- 3. Check charging contacts: Inspect the metal charging pads on the robot and the dock. Clean them with a dry microfiber cloth. If there is oxidation, lightly wipe with a cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol and let dry completely.
- 4. Reseat the battery (if accessible): Remove the bottom cover screws, carefully lift the cover, and locate the lithium-ion battery pack. Disconnect the battery connector from the main board, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect firmly. Reassemble the cover.
- 5. Full recharge: Place the robot on the dock, ensuring the front of the robot is aligned and the charging contacts touch. Confirm the charging indicator on the robot lights up. Allow 3–4 hours for a full charge, then test a cleaning cycle.
- 6. If E01 persists: The battery pack or battery protection PCB may be defective. Do not attempt to open the battery pack. Replace the complete Electrolux battery pack assembly or contact an authorized Electrolux service center.
