Possible Causes
Hair wrapped around side brush shaft, Worn side brush motor, Stripped side brush hub, Loose side brush motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and flip it over on a soft surface.
- 1. Remove the side brush: Unscrew the center screw (if present) and pull the side brush straight off the shaft.
- 2. Clean the shaft and hub: Remove any hair or fibers from the motor shaft and the underside of the side brush. Use tweezers for tight areas.
- 3. Inspect the side brush: Check for cracks in the hub or excessive wear. Replace the side brush if the hub is rounded or damaged.
- 4. Test the motor: With the side brush removed, power on the robot and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether the side brush motor shaft spins freely.
- 5. Check wiring: If the shaft does not spin, remove the bottom cover and verify the side brush motor connector is firmly seated on the main PCB.
- 6. Replace motor if needed: If E06 persists and the motor does not run, replace the Electrolux side brush motor module. Reinstall a new side brush and test again.
