Possible Causes
Dirty IR receiver window on robot, Obstructed or misaligned charging dock, Faulty IR transmitter on dock, Failed IR receiver board in robot
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the dock is placed away from stairs and water sources.
- 1. Check dock placement: Position the Electrolux charging dock against a wall with at least 1 m (3 ft) of clear space in front and 0.5 m (1.5 ft) on each side. Remove obstacles that may block the IR signal.
- 2. Clean IR windows: Wipe the front of the dock and the front/top of the robot (where the IR receiver is located) with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints.
- 3. Verify dock power: Confirm the dock’s power LED is on. Try another outlet if necessary.
- 4. Manual docking test: Place the robot about 0.5–1 m (1.5–3 ft) in front of the dock and press the Home/Dock button. Observe whether it turns toward the dock and attempts to connect.
- 5. Avoid strong light sources: Bright sunlight or strong IR sources can interfere. Move the dock away from direct sunlight or IR heaters.
- 6. If E11 persists: The IR transmitter in the dock or the IR receiver board in the robot may be faulty. Test with a known-good Electrolux dock if available, or replace the robot’s docking IR receiver module.
