Robot vacuum shows E18; time-of-flight or front distance sensor error, robot may crash into obstacles.

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before cleaning or disassembling.

• 1. Clean front sensor window: Locate the front-facing distance sensor (often a dark plastic window). Wipe it gently with a microfiber cloth.
• 2. Check for physical damage: Inspect the front housing for cracks or signs of impact that may have shifted the sensor.
• 3. Reboot and test: Power on the robot and start a cleaning cycle in an open area. Observe whether it detects walls and furniture properly.
• 4. Internal inspection (advanced): Remove the front cover to access the distance sensor board. Ensure it is securely mounted and the connector is firmly attached to the main PCB.
• 5. Replace sensor module: If E18 persists and obstacle detection is unreliable, replace the Electrolux front distance sensor module.
