Possible Causes

Water tank not fully inserted, Water tank detection switch not engaging, Pump wiring loose, Water pump failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove the water tank. Do not operate the robot with water near open electronics.

  • Re-seat tank: Fill the tank as directed and insert it firmly until it clicks.
  • Inspect tank tabs: Ensure the mechanical tab or magnet that triggers the detection switch is intact.
  • Check for leaks: Look for water around the tank area; dry thoroughly if present.
  • Test pump: Start a mopping cycle and listen for the pump. If silent and E18 appears, the Water Pump Module or detection switch may be faulty.
  • Replace components: Replace the water tank if its hardware is damaged. If the pump or switch is defective, internal service is required.
