Possible Causes

Dust bin not fully inserted, Dust bin detection switch stuck, Dust bin magnet or tab broken, Dust bin sensor on main board faulty

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the robot.

  • Re-seat dust bin: Remove the dust bin completely and then firmly reinsert it until it clicks into place.
  • Inspect bin tabs: Check for broken plastic tabs or missing magnets that engage the detection switch.
  • Clean contacts: If your model uses electrical contacts on the bin, wipe them with a dry cloth.
  • Test: Power on the robot and see if the error clears.
  • If E9 remains: The Dust Bin Detection Switch or sensor circuit on the main PCB may be faulty. Replacement of the switch or main board may be required.
