Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully inserted, Dust bin microswitch stuck, Dust bin magnet or sensor misaligned, Dust bin sensor board failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot.
- Reinsert dust bin: Remove the dust bin completely and reinstall it firmly until you hear or feel a click. Ensure the lid is fully closed.
- Inspect bin contacts: Look for small plastic tabs or magnets on the dust bin that interact with the robot's sensor. Make sure they are not broken or missing.
- Clean sensor area: Use a dry cloth to clean around the dust bin sensor area inside the robot. Dust buildup can prevent the sensor from detecting the bin.
- Test with light pressure: With the robot ON, gently press on the dust bin while starting a cleaning cycle. If it starts only when pressed, the dust bin microswitch may be misaligned or worn.
- Advanced repair: Open the top cover to access the dust bin sensor board or microswitch. Check the wiring and replace the Dust Bin Sensor Board / Microswitch if defective.
