Possible Causes
One drive wheel motor weaker, Wheel treads worn unevenly, Debris in one wheel module, Encoder sensor dirty on one side
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot.
- Inspect wheels: Compare the left and right drive wheels for tread wear or damage. Clean both thoroughly.
- Manual spin test: Rotate each wheel by hand. They should feel similar in resistance. A stiff or rough wheel indicates internal issues.
- Swap surfaces: Test the robot on different floor types to rule out floor slope.
- Replace weak module: If the robot consistently veers in the same direction, replace the weaker Drive Wheel Module (the side opposite the drift direction).
