Possible Causes

Dirty or bent charging contacts, Faulty charging base power supply, Broken dock-to-robot communication line, Loose dock connector on mainboard

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the charging base from the wall before cleaning contacts.

  • Step 1 – Clean contacts: Wipe the charging contacts on both the robot and the dock with a dry cloth. If heavily oxidized, gently rub with a pencil eraser and then wipe clean.
  • Step 2 – Check alignment: Place the robot manually onto the dock and ensure the contacts align and touch firmly. Adjust the dock position on the floor if necessary.
  • Step 3 – Verify power: Plug the dock back in and confirm its power LED (if present) is lit. Test the wall outlet with another device.
  • Step 4 – Inspect dock cable and plug: Check the dock’s power cable for damage or kinks. Replace the Medion charging base if the power adapter or dock is faulty.
  • Step 5 – Check internal wiring: If the dock is known good, open the robot and verify the charging contact wires and connector to the mainboard are secure.
