Possible Causes

Blocked or dirty IR receiver window, Faulty IR receiver module on mainboard, Remote control battery low, IR interference from other devices

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the robot is on a stable surface and powered ON.

  • Step 1 – Replace remote batteries: Install fresh batteries in the Medion remote control, observing correct polarity.
  • Step 2 – Clear line of sight: Make sure there is a clear path between the remote and the robot’s IR receiver window (usually on the top or front). Remove any covers or stickers.
  • Step 3 – Clean receiver window: Wipe the dark plastic window on the robot with a soft cloth to remove dust or fingerprints.
  • Step 4 – Test close range: Stand within 1–2 meters and point the remote directly at the receiver. If the robot still shows E11, the IR receiver may be faulty.
  • Step 5 – Inspect IR board: Open the top cover and locate the IR receiver module or front sensor board. Check its connector to the mainboard and reseat it.
  • Step 6 – Replace IR receiver: If there is still no response, replace the Medion IR receiver board or mainboard (if the receiver is integrated).
