Possible Causes
Faulty Wi‑Fi module, Antenna cable disconnected, Firmware issue, Router incompatibility or weak signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Keep the robot near your router during setup. Do not open the robot while it is plugged into the dock.
- Step 1 – Restart devices: Power cycle the robot (main switch OFF/ON) and restart your Wi‑Fi router.
- Step 2 – Check network: Ensure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (many Medion robots do not support 5 GHz). Disable AP isolation or guest mode if enabled.
- Step 3 – Re-pair in app: Follow the Medion app instructions to reset Wi‑Fi on the robot (often by holding a specific button until a tone or voice prompt) and re-add the device.
- Step 4 – Inspect antenna (advanced): If you open the robot, locate the Wi‑Fi antenna (often a small wire or PCB strip) and ensure it is firmly connected to the Wi‑Fi module or mainboard.
- Step 5 – Replace Wi‑Fi module/mainboard: If E12 persists and other robots connect fine to the same network, the Wi‑Fi module or mainboard is likely defective and should be replaced.
