Possible Causes
Dirty side IR wall sensor, Faulty side IR sensor board, Loose sensor wiring, Strong sunlight or reflective surfaces interfering
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before cleaning sensors.
- Step 1 – Clean side sensors: Locate the side-facing IR sensors (usually on the right side of the bumper or body). Wipe the windows with a soft, dry cloth.
- Step 2 – Test away from sunlight: Run the robot in a shaded area away from direct sunlight and mirrors to see if E14 disappears.
- Step 3 – Inspect sensor board: Remove the front/side cover to access the wall sensor board. Check that its connector is firmly attached to the mainboard.
- Step 4 – Replace sensor board: If the sensor is cracked, water-damaged, or still misreads after cleaning, replace the Medion wall/edge IR sensor board.
