Possible Causes

Mop water tank not fully inserted, Dirty or corroded tank contacts, Faulty tank presence switch, Defective water tank sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove the mop water tank. Avoid spilling water into the robot.

  • Step 1 – Reseat tank: Reinsert the Medion water tank until it clicks firmly into place.
  • Step 2 – Clean contacts: If your model uses electrical contacts, clean them on both the tank and robot with a dry cloth.
  • Step 3 – Check for leaks: Inspect the tank for cracks or leaks that could have damaged internal sensors.
  • Step 4 – Inspect detection switch: Look inside the tank slot for a mechanical switch or sensor. Ensure it moves freely and is not blocked by debris.
  • Step 5 – Replace tank or sensor: If E18 persists, replace the Medion mop water tank assembly or the internal tank detection sensor/switch.
