Possible Causes

Dead remote batteries, Remote not paired (for some models), Faulty IR LED in remote, IR receiver on robot partially failing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Ensure the robot is powered ON and not in sleep mode.

  • Step 1 – Replace batteries: Install new batteries in the Medion remote, ensuring correct polarity.
  • Step 2 – Check IR output: Point the remote at a smartphone camera and press a button; you should see a flashing light on the camera screen. If not, the remote is faulty.
  • Step 3 – Clear line of sight: Make sure nothing blocks the IR path between remote and robot.
  • Step 4 – Test close range: Stand within 1–2 meters and aim directly at the robot’s IR receiver window.
  • Step 5 – Replace remote or receiver: Replace the Medion remote control if it does not emit IR. If the remote works but the robot does not respond, replace the IR receiver board on the robot.
