Possible Causes
Worn main brush bearings, Debris in side brush gearbox, Damaged drive wheel gearbox, Loose screws on motor mounts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock before inspection.
- Step 1 – Isolate noise source: Run the robot upside down briefly (hold it securely) and listen to identify whether the noise comes from the main brush, side brush, wheels, or suction motor.
- Step 2 – Service brushes: Remove the main brush and side brush. Clean hair and debris from the ends and bearings. Reinstall and test again.
- Step 3 – Check wheel gearboxes: Manually spin each drive wheel. If you feel grinding or hear clicking, the gearbox may be worn. Remove the bottom cover and inspect the Medion wheel modules for cracked gears or loose screws.
- Step 4 – Tighten mounts: Tighten any loose screws securing motors and gearboxes to reduce vibration.
- Step 5 – Replace worn modules: Replace noisy components such as the main brush, side brush motor assembly, or drive wheel module with new Medion parts.
