How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before manipulating the bumper.
- Step 1 – Inspect movement: Press the bumper at several points. It should move smoothly and spring back. If it hangs or feels loose, open the front housing.
- Step 2 – Check springs and guides: Ensure the Medion bumper springs are attached and the bumper slides correctly in its tracks.
- Step 3 – Test switches: Press the bumper and listen/feel for clicks from the microswitches. Replace any switch that does not click.
- Step 4 – Replace bumper assembly: If the bumper is cracked or cannot be secured properly, replace the entire bumper assembly.
