Possible Causes
Hair wrapped around main brush bearings, Debris lodged between main brush and brush guard, Worn or seized main brush end caps, Main brush motor overcurrent
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot using the main power switch and remove it from the dock.
- Remove the brush guard: Flip the robot over and unlatch the main brush cover/guard. Lift it off and set aside.
- Extract the main brush: Pull the main roller brush straight up. Remove hair and threads from the bristles and especially from both end caps.
- Clean end caps and bearings: Many Neabot brushes have removable end caps. Pop them off carefully and clean hair from the shafts and bearing surfaces. Wipe with a dry cloth.
- Inspect the brush cavity: Check for objects (toys, socks, cables) wedged in the brush channel or around the main brush motor drive slot. Remove all debris.
- Reassemble: Reinstall the end caps, seat the brush back into the cavity, and snap the brush guard back into place.
- Test: Power the robot back on and start a cleaning cycle. If E2 returns quickly, the main brush motor or internal gearbox may be worn and require replacement.
Warning: Never run the robot with the main brush removed for extended periods; it can affect airflow and overheat the suction motor.
