Possible Causes

Hair wrapped around wheel axle, Debris jammed in wheel well, Worn or stripped wheel gearbox, Failing drive wheel motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock.

  • Inspect both drive wheels: Flip the robot over and manually rotate each side wheel. They should spring up and down and rotate smoothly.
  • Remove debris: Use tweezers or a small brush to remove hair, threads, and debris from around the wheel axles and inside the wheel wells.
  • Check suspension movement: Press each wheel up into the body and release. It should move freely. If it sticks, inspect for lodged debris or warped plastic.
  • Test on flat surface: Place the robot on a hard, flat floor and start a cleaning cycle. If E5 appears immediately and one wheel does not turn, the wheel motor or gearbox may be defective.
  • Consider replacement: If cleaning does not resolve the issue, replace the affected drive wheel module with a Neabot-compatible wheel assembly.

Warning: Do not lubricate the wheel gearbox with oil; it can attract dust and damage internal gears.
