Possible Causes
Aged lithium battery with reduced capacity, Battery not fully charging, High drag from dirty brushes and wheels, Overheating protection triggering
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and let it cool if it feels warm.
- Full charge cycle: Charge the robot uninterrupted for at least 4–5 hours, then run a full cleaning cycle to calibrate the battery gauge.
- Reduce load: Clean main and side brushes, filters, and wheels to reduce mechanical resistance.
- Battery age check: If the robot is more than 2 years old and runtime is under 20–30 minutes, replace the battery pack.
- Charging contacts: Clean the charging contacts on both robot and dock to ensure full charging.
Warning: Do not continue to run a robot with a failing battery until it shuts off completely; deep discharges can further damage the pack.
