Neato robot shows 'Error 18: I cannot find my base' or fails to dock repeatedly.

Safety: Unplug the charging base before moving it.

• Relocate dock: Place the dock against a straight wall with at least 1 meter (3 ft) of clear space on each side and 1.5 meters (5 ft) in front.
• Clean IR windows: Wipe the front of the dock and the robot's front sensor window with a dry microfiber cloth.
• Test docking: Manually place the robot about 1–2 meters in front of the dock and press the dock/charge button. Observe if it can align and connect.
• Remap if needed: If the robot consistently fails to find the base from other rooms, delete the map (if supported) and create a new one.
