Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock.
Inspect LDS or camera:
- For LDS models (with a rotating turret on top), gently try to rotate the turret. It should spin freely without scraping.
- Remove any objects or cables that may have fallen into the turret gap.
- For camera-based models, clean the camera lens on top/front with a soft microfiber cloth.
Clean sensor windows:
- Wipe the transparent plastic cover over the LDS or camera to remove fingerprints and dust.
Reset mapping:
- Use the Proscenic app to clear the existing map (if supported) and start a new full-house mapping run.
Reboot and test:
- Power cycle the robot and start a cleaning or mapping run in a well-lit environment.
Advanced: If the LDS does not spin at all or E12 appears immediately, the LDS motor or sensor may have failed. Replacement requires opening the robot and is best performed by a qualified technician.
