Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power OFF the robot and remove it from the dock. Flip it over on a soft surface.
Clear obstructions:
- Inspect the left drive wheel (usually marked L or on the robot's left when facing forward).
- Pull the wheel down and rotate it by hand. It should turn smoothly with some resistance. If it feels stuck, cut and remove hair, threads, or debris wrapped around the wheel axle using small scissors or tweezers.
- Check the wheel cavity for trapped debris and vacuum it out.
Check wheel movement:
- With the robot still off the dock, gently push it forward and backward by hand. Both wheels should rotate freely and evenly.
Reset and test:
- Turn the main power switch OFF for 30 seconds, then ON.
- Place the robot on the floor and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether the left wheel moves.
Advanced: If the wheel still does not move or E3 returns immediately, the left wheel motor or encoder may be faulty. Replacing the left wheel module typically involves removing the bottom cover, disconnecting the wheel harness from the mainboard, and installing a new wheel assembly. If you are not experienced with small electronics, have a technician perform this repair.
