Possible Causes

Dust bin full or clogged, Air path blocked in dust bin or cyclone, Suction motor fan obstructed by debris, Suction motor overheating or failing

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and remove it from the dock. Remove the dust bin before proceeding.

Check and clean the dust bin:

  • Empty the dust bin completely.
  • Disassemble any internal cyclone or mesh filters according to the manual.
  • Remove clumps of dust blocking the air inlet or outlet.

Clean filters:

  • Remove the primary filter and HEPA filter (if present).
  • Tap them gently over a trash can to remove dust. If the manual allows, rinse the primary filter with water and let it dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
  • Do not wash the HEPA filter unless the manual explicitly states it is washable.

Inspect the suction inlet:

  • Check the opening behind the main brush where debris enters the dust bin. Remove any blockages.

Reset and test:

  • Reinstall dry filters and the dust bin.
  • Power ON and start a cleaning cycle. Listen for the suction motor starting normally.

Advanced: If E8 persists and the suction motor does not run or makes abnormal noise, the fan motor assembly may be failing and should be replaced. This requires opening the robot and is best handled by a service center.
