Robot stops shortly after starting, beeps, and displays E2; may not leave the dock

Possible Causes
Defective charging base PCB, Faulty AC adapter, Broken charging spring contacts on dock, Loose low‑voltage cable inside dock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the AC adapter from the wall before inspecting the dock.
- 1. Verify wall outlet: Plug another device (lamp/phone charger) into the same outlet to confirm it has power.
- 2. Check adapter and cable: Inspect the Rowenta adapter for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. Ensure the plug fits snugly into the dock. If the adapter has an indicator LED, confirm it is lit.
- 3. Clean dock contacts: Wipe the metal contacts on the dock with a dry cloth. Make sure they are not bent or pushed in. Lightly press them to confirm they spring back.
- 4. Reseat robot: Place the robot on the dock manually, ensuring the front is centered and the charging pads touch. Wait a few minutes and check if the charging icon appears in the app or on the robot.
- 5. Test with another adapter/dock: If available, test the robot on another compatible Rowenta dock. If it charges normally there, your original dock or adapter is faulty and should be replaced.
