Possible Causes
Corrupted firmware, Main PCB failure, Shorted internal component, Moisture ingress on electronics
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock. Do not continue using the robot if you see signs of liquid damage.
- 1. Hard reset: Turn the main power switch OFF for 1 minute, then ON again.
- 2. Factory reset: Use the Rowenta app or button combination to perform a factory reset (this will erase maps and settings).
- 3. Firmware update: Connect the robot to Wi‑Fi (if possible) and check for firmware updates in the app. Install any available updates.
- 4. Check for moisture: Inspect the robot for signs of water entry (stains, corrosion around vents). If it has been exposed to water, do not power it further; allow it to dry for at least 48 hours in a dry, ventilated area.
- 5. Board replacement: If E20 persists after reset and update, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
