Possible Causes

Hair or string wrapped around right wheel axle, Jammed right wheel gearbox, Failed right wheel DC motor, Broken right wheel encoder sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Power the robot OFF and remove it from the dock.

  • 1. Visual inspection: Turn the robot upside down and inspect the right drive wheel. Remove any visible debris around the wheel and in the wheel cavity.
  • 2. Free the axle: Use tweezers to pull out hair and fibers from the axle area. Rotate the wheel by hand to ensure it moves smoothly.
  • 3. Functional test: With the robot lifted, start a cleaning cycle and watch both wheels. If the right wheel does not spin or is jerky while the left is normal, the right wheel module is suspect.
  • 4. Check wiring: Remove the bottom cover and verify the right wheel connector is fully inserted into the main PCB and not damaged.
  • 5. Replace if needed: If the wheel still fails or makes loud grinding noises, replace the right drive wheel module.
