Hair wrapped around main brush ends, Foreign object stuck in brush housing, Worn main brush bearings, Failing main brush motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and flip it over on a soft surface.
- 1. Remove main brush: Open the brush guard latch and lift out the main roller brush.
- 2. Clean brush ends: Remove the end caps (if removable) and cut away hair and threads from both ends of the brush and the bearing areas.
- 3. Inspect brush housing: Check inside the brush channel for stuck objects (toys, stones, socks). Remove any obstruction.
- 4. Check brush bearings: Spin the brush by hand. If it feels rough or seized, replace the brush.
- 5. Motor test: With the brush removed, start a cleaning cycle and observe if the brush motor shaft spins freely. If it does not spin or makes burning smells, the motor assembly should be replaced.
