Possible Causes

Worn start/stop button switch, Moisture under keypad, Disconnected keypad ribbon cable, Faulty top control PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the robot OFF and remove it from the dock.

  • 1. Try app control: If the robot responds to commands from the Rowenta app or remote, the main board is likely fine and the issue is with the physical buttons.
  • 2. Dry out: If the robot was recently cleaned with liquid, allow it to dry for 24–48 hours in a warm, dry place.
  • 3. Internal inspection: Remove the top cover to access the keypad PCB. Check that the ribbon cable is firmly seated.
  • 4. Replace keypad PCB: If the cable is secure but buttons still do not work, replace the top control / keypad PCB.
