Possible Causes
Dead lithium‑ion battery, Faulty power switch, Defective charging base or adapter, Open circuit on main PCB power input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not attempt to bypass fuses or short any contacts.
- 1. Check charger: Verify the Rowenta adapter LED is on and the output plug is firmly connected to the dock. Try a different wall outlet.
- 2. Direct charge (if supported): Some models allow direct charging via a DC jack on the robot. Try plugging the adapter directly into the robot to rule out a bad dock.
- 3. Inspect power switch: Ensure the main power switch on the robot underside or side is in the ON position.
- 4. Charge fully: Leave the robot on the dock for at least 4–5 hours, then try powering it on again.
- 5. Battery replacement: If the robot remains completely dead, replace the lithium‑ion battery pack. If a new battery does not resolve it, the main PCB or power switch is likely faulty.
