Possible Causes
Worn drive wheels with reduced traction, Weak drive motors, Low ground clearance due to worn caster, Unsuitable floor layout (thick rugs, cables)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF before inspecting wheels.
- 1. Inspect drive wheels: Check the rubber treads for wear, cracks, or smooth spots. Clean any dust or grease.
- 2. Check caster height: Ensure the front caster wheel is not worn flat and rotates freely.
- 3. Adjust environment: Remove or tape down loose rug edges and cables. Use magnetic or virtual barriers to block problematic areas.
- 4. Replace worn parts: If the wheels are visibly worn or the robot struggles on small thresholds it used to handle, replace the drive wheel modules and/or caster wheel.
