Possible Causes
Dirty sensors (cliff, bumper, wall sensors), Obstructed laser or camera (on mapping models), Outdated firmware, Poor placement of charging dock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the robot OFF while cleaning sensors.
- 1. Clean all sensors: Wipe cliff sensors, front bumper IR sensors, wall‑following sensors, and any top camera or laser window with a soft, dry cloth.
- 2. Reposition dock: Place the dock in an open area with clear space around it to improve starting navigation.
- 3. Remove clutter: Pick up cables, small rugs, and obstacles that may confuse the robot.
- 4. Firmware update: Use the Rowenta app to check for and install navigation‑related firmware updates.
- 5. Map reset: Delete old maps in the app and let the robot create a new map of your home.
