Possible Causes

Depleted lithium‑ion battery pack, Faulty battery protection PCB inside battery, Damaged DC charging jack on robot, Failed main power switch or wiring harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Power off the robot using the main switch (if present). Do not open the battery pack casing; lithium‑ion packs can be dangerous if punctured.

  • 1. Check the charging dock: Verify the SilverCrest charging station is plugged into a working outlet. Confirm the dock LED is on. Try another outlet.
  • 2. Inspect charging contacts: Turn the robot upside down on a soft surface. Clean the two metal charging pads with a dry cloth or isopropyl alcohol. Clean the dock's spring contacts as well.
  • 3. Hard reset: Turn the main power switch OFF (or hold the power button for 10–15 seconds) to fully shut down. Wait 1 minute, then turn it back ON and place the robot on the dock until the charging indicator shows normal charging for at least 3–4 hours.
  • 4. Check battery status: In the SilverCrest app (or on the display), check if battery percentage increases while on the dock. If it stays at 0% or the robot shuts off immediately when removed, the internal SilverCrest lithium‑ion battery pack is likely defective.
  • 5. Inspect DC jack and wiring (advanced): If your model charges via a side DC jack, inspect the jack for looseness or damage. If the robot only charges when the plug is held at an angle, the DC jack or internal harness needs replacement.
  • When to stop: If the robot still shows E01 after a full charge and reset, or the battery swells, overheats, or smells, stop using it and replace the battery pack or contact a technician.
