Possible Causes
Hair or string wrapped around main brush, Seized main brush end bearings, Failed main brush motor, Stripped gears in main brush gearbox
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock before working on the brush.
- 1. Remove main brush: Open the brush guard on the underside of the SilverCrest robot. Lift out the main roller brush.
- 2. Clean thoroughly: Cut away hair and threads from the brush bristles and both end caps. Remove the end caps (if removable) and clean the bearings.
- 3. Clean brush cavity: Inspect the brush housing and suction channel for blockages. Remove any debris that could jam the brush.
- 4. Test without brush: Reinstall the empty brush housing (no brush) and start the robot. If the motor spins freely without E06, the brush or bearings were the cause. Replace the main brush if worn or warped.
- 5. Check motor (advanced): If the motor does not spin even with the brush removed, the SilverCrest main brush motor or gearbox is likely defective and should be replaced as a module.
