Possible Causes
Water tank not seated correctly, Dirty or corroded tank contacts, Failed tank presence switch, Faulty mop module connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove the water tank before handling. Avoid spilling water into the robot.
- 1. Remove and reinstall tank: Slide out the SilverCrest water tank/mop module and reinstall it firmly until it clicks.
- 2. Clean contacts: If your model uses electrical contacts, wipe the metal pads on both the tank and robot with a dry cloth.
- 3. Check for leaks: Inspect the tank for cracks or leaks that could have corroded the contacts or sensor.
- 4. Test without water: Install the empty tank and see if E17 clears. If it does, refill carefully and avoid overfilling.
- 5. Replace module: If the robot never detects the tank, replace the SilverCrest water tank/mop module or the internal detection switch as needed.
