Possible Causes

Corrupted firmware, Failed main MCU on PCB, Shorted component on main board, Power regulation fault on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the robot from the dock and turn off the main power switch.

  • 1. Hard reset: Turn the main switch OFF, wait 2–3 minutes, then turn it ON. Place the robot on the dock and allow it to boot fully.
  • 2. Firmware update: Connect the robot to the SilverCrest app (if possible) and check for firmware updates. Apply any available update and keep the robot on the dock during the process.
  • 3. Remove external modules: Temporarily remove the water tank, mop, and any accessories, then reboot and test.
  • 4. Inspect for moisture: Check for signs of water ingress around the buttons, dustbin area, and vents. If moisture is present, let the robot dry completely (24–48 hours) before retrying.
  • 5. Replace main PCB: If E18 persists and the robot cannot complete boot or cleaning, the SilverCrest main control board is likely defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
