Possible Causes
Worn mechanical buttons, Dust or moisture under keypad, Damaged top control PCB, Loose ribbon cable to main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the robot and remove it from the dock before opening the housing.
- 1. Try app control: Confirm that the robot responds normally to commands from the SilverCrest app or remote. If so, the issue is limited to the physical buttons.
- 2. Clean around buttons: Wipe the button area with a slightly damp cloth and then dry. Do not allow liquid to enter the seams.
- 3. Open top cover (advanced): Remove screws securing the top cover to access the button PCB. Check that the ribbon cable is firmly connected to the main PCB.
- 4. Replace button PCB: If buttons still fail, replace the SilverCrest top control panel / button board.
