Possible Causes

Weak Wi‑Fi signal at dock location, Incorrect Wi‑Fi password or unsupported band, Internal Wi‑Fi antenna disconnected, Wi‑Fi module failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is a communication issue; no electrical disassembly is required for basic troubleshooting.

  • 1. Verify network: Ensure your router is powered and broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network (most Trifo robots do not support 5 GHz only networks).
  • 2. Move dock closer: Place the charging dock within 3–5 meters of the router with minimal walls between them. Avoid placing the dock near large metal objects or microwaves.
  • 3. Reset Wi‑Fi on robot: Press and hold the Wi‑Fi or Reset button on the robot (refer to your model's manual) until you hear a voice prompt indicating pairing mode.
  • 4. Re-add in app: Open the Trifo app, delete the existing device entry if present, then add the robot again, entering the correct Wi‑Fi password.
  • 5. Firmware update: If you can briefly connect, check for firmware updates in the app and apply them, as they may fix Wi‑Fi stability issues.

Warning: Opening the robot to access the Wi‑Fi antenna or module can void warranty. If the robot cannot detect any networks even next to the router, the Wi‑Fi module or antenna may need professional replacement.
