Dust Bin Presence / Full Sensor Error
Robot vacuum shows E12 and stops with the dust bin icon lit or announced

Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully seated, Dust bin sensor switch stuck, Optical bin sensor blocked by dust, Bin sensor harness loose
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before removing the dust bin.
- 1. Remove and reseat bin: Pull out the dust bin completely, then firmly push it back in until it clicks. Ensure no foreign objects are preventing full insertion.
- 2. Clean bin sensor area: Look inside the bin compartment for a small mechanical switch or optical sensor. Use a dry brush or compressed air to remove dust buildup.
- 3. Inspect bin tabs: Check the plastic tabs or magnets on the dust bin that interact with the sensor. If a tab is broken or a magnet is missing, the bin may not be detected and the bin assembly should be replaced.
- 4. Test without debris: Empty the bin, reinstall it, and start a cleaning cycle. If E12 no longer appears, the issue was likely dust accumulation.
- 5. Internal harness check (advanced): If the error persists, open the robot and verify that the bin sensor harness is connected securely to the main board.
Warning: Do not bypass the bin sensor by taping it closed; running without a bin can cause internal contamination and motor damage.
