Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot and place it upside down on a soft surface.
- 1. Check wheel travel: Press each drive wheel up into the body and release. It should move smoothly and spring back. Compare left and right sides.
- 2. Remove debris: Clean around the wheel wells, springs, and pivot points with a brush and tweezers. Hair and dirt can jam the suspension.
- 3. Inspect springs and brackets: Look for broken or dislodged springs, cracked plastic mounts, or bent metal parts. Damaged wheel modules should be replaced.
- 4. Test on flat floor: After cleaning, place the robot on a flat surface, power it ON, and start a cleaning cycle. Observe whether it still reports E14 when encountering small obstacles.
- 5. Internal sensor check (advanced): Some wheel modules include lift sensors. If E14 persists, the affected wheel module may need replacement.
Warning: Do not lubricate the wheel suspension with oil; it will attract dust and cause further binding. Replace the entire wheel module if mechanical damage is found.
